Walking in Tuscany

Grapes and Leaves (M.A. Reilly, 2013, Tuscany)
I am back in Tuscany after several years and I spent the late afternoon walking about and trying to learn what this landscape might have to say.  Distance and time away often require that I ease into a place, gather silence around me and listen as it speaks. Making photographs is a combination of listening, feeling, and sighting.  When these combine--sometimes I am graced with  an exchange of energy that on my own, I simply cannot know.

Here are a few images I made today.  They were processed through Lightroom and shot with a Nikon D300.
