Today's collage is personal. The image of the child in the collage is the only image I have of myself from when I was living in a Catholic orphanage in Dublin, Ireland. I was 2. Today's brief story in the New York Times about the 800 bodies found in a mass grave was chilling. I hope in some small way I might stand for all those faceless babies so neglected by the Roman Catholic Church.

George Stinney, Jr. is the youngest person to be executed in the 20th century. He was just 14. He was arrested  for the murder of two white girls, tried, found guilty by an all white South Carolina jury in 1944 and executed in less than 3 months from his arrest.  The trial lasted for one day. The jury deliberated for 10 minutes. You access the story here.  You can help to stand up for this child, here.
